Covid

Many people faced numerous challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, including disruptions to daily life, financial strain, and concerns for personal and family health. Lockdowns and restrictions posed difficulties in accessing basic necessities, while job losses and economic uncertainty added to the burden.

Many orphans found themselves in a vulnerable position during the COVID-19 pandemic, unable to voice their needs or navigate the challenges independently. The absence of familial support left them particularly exposed to difficulties in accessing essential resources and assistance.

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we took proactive steps to assist orphaned individuals. Providing them with a lifeline, we assigned four dedicated numbers, allowing them to access a link for necessary support. In a hands-on approach, our directors ventured into the field to personally deliver 2500 kits, comprising essential groceries and medical supplies, ensuring the well-being of these vulnerable individuals amidst the pandemic's hardships.

Self Defence Camp

In an age where daily reports on social media and television highlight the victimization of women, with numerous stories of sexual violence, random attacks by strangers, and various forms of abuse, the world has indeed become more unpredictable, particularly for women. Recognizing this need for increased safety and empowerment, self-defence training has become a vital necessity for every woman's to-do list. Taking a significant step in this direction, Yuva Tarpan has initiated training programs to equip orphan girls with self-defence techniques, ensuring their ability to protect themselves and navigate a safer path in an uncertain world.

Self Defence Camp

Yuva Tarpan collaborated with Swami Vivekanand Management Institute for conducting self-defence course for orphan girls. 20 girls (from the age group of 16-22) participated in this workshop from Manav Seva Sangh Orphanage, Matunga. This workshop was conducted by Sakshi Dhaigude. She is a National Karate Champion, she taught 20 Self Defence Tricks to all the participants.

Health Care Camp

Health Care Camp

Recognizing the challenges faced by underprivileged orphan girls with limited access to healthcare, Yuva Tarpan, a wing of the Tarpan Foundation, orchestrated the Arogyam health camp. In partnership with the Cancer Patients Aid Foundation and sponsored by Saraswat Bank and Bank of India, this initiative aimed to provide crucial medical support to these vulnerable individuals. Nearly 70 orphan girls were beneficiaries of the camp, which conducted thorough medical examinations covering blood pressure, weight, ENT, blood, dental and gynecological assessments. This comprehensive approach addressed and aimed to improve the overall health status of the recipients, reflecting the commitment of Yuva Tarpan to the well-being of the underprivileged.
